Pat graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University's School of Business and Economics in 1993 with a bachelor degree in economics. After several years of handling all lines of claims, Pat became branch manager of Crawford's Mississauga and Oakville branches in 2001, and moved on to become Crawford's director of Accident Benefits in 2003.

In 2007, he was named vice president, Claims Operations which comprises all 86 of Crawford's claims branches across Canada. In January 2008, he was named senior vice president of this division. Pat is a Chartered Insurance Professional and has received formal management and leadership training through the Schulich School of Business at York University, Franklin Covey and the Niagara Institute.

Pat is responsible for all aspects of the Canadian organization, including administration and operations. He is a member of Crawford Global Senior Management Team and reports to the executive vice president and chief executive officer, Property & Casualty - Americas.
